Critically ill patients are often managed in an intensive care unit within a hospital with the help of sophisticated equipment and trained personnel. Frequent monitoring of vital parameters/signs assisted ventilation and rapid resuscitation measures are required to be taken whenever life-threatening situations arise/occur. The diploma in Anesthesia and Critical Care Technician program aims to train technicians into the field of anesthetics and critical care and it’s important in the medical field. This program shall prepare the students with the necessary skills and knowledge so as to assist Anesthesiologists during anesthetic procedures, intubation procedures, loading of anesthetics to patients, also assisting anesthesia-related procedures outside the operation theatres (procedures such as CT, MRI, endoscopy, digital angiograms etc.).
